Unique handmade tapestry, designed and woven at the Texture Tapestries studio in Cornwall.

Measurements: 19.5 x 20 cm (including frame)

Materials: cotton warp and wool weft. Framed in a bespoke wood frame.

One of three tapestries that form the Murmurations Collection. A murmuration is a collection of thousands of starlings that swoop and swirl across the sky in beautiful shape-shifting clouds. At sunset in the autumn and winter, flocks of starlings come together across Cornwall and – at some secret signal – they take to the heavens in a mesmerising aerial display. This phenomenon is named after the noise made by the thousands of flapping wings, like heartbeats in synchronised flight.
